Inauguration of India's New Parliament Building

On May 28, 2023, a ceremony featuring prayers from all faiths launched India's new Parliament building in New Delhi.

| Om Birla, the speaker of the Lok Sabha, accompanied Prime Minister Narendra Modi in unveiling the plaque to mark the opening of India's new Parliament building.

On May 27, 2023, PM Narendra Modi met with 21 Adheenams who took part in the inauguration ceremony.

Religious leaders initiated the sarva-dharma prarthana (multifaith prayer) by reciting prayers in several tongues. 'Ganpati Homam' was done by PM Narendra Modi.

PM Modi was presented with the sacred "Sengol" (sceptre) by the 293rd Madurai Aadheenam head priest.
