Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) Tamilnadu has released the notification direct recruitment to the post of Civil Judge post of e Tamil Nadu State Judicial Services. Eligible candidates can submit their applications before 30.06.2023 (11.59 P.M). TNPSC is filling the 245 posts of Civil Judge Posts through Written Examinations and Viva-Voce tests.

245 | Practicing Advocates/ Pleaders and Assistant Public Prosecutors: Must possess a Degree in Law from a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or a State Act or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission, or any other equivalent qualification and got enrolled in the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu or in the Bar Council of any other State in India. AND 3 years of experience as an Advocate and/or Assistant Public Prosecutor. OR Must be practicing as an Advocate or Pleader in any Court on the date of Notification for recruitment to the post and must have so practiced for a period of not less than 3 years on such date. Fresh Law Graduates: (a) Must be a fresh Law Graduate possessing a degree in Law from a recognized University. (b) Must be eligible to be enrolled as an Advocate. (c) Must have secured an overall percentage of marks in acquiring the Bachelor’s Degree. (d) Must have obtained the Bachelor’s Degree of Law within a period of three years prior to the date of Notification. |

Application Fee and Mode of Payment:-
Candidates have to deposit examination fees Rs. 100/-, the main examination fee of 200/-, and a Registration Fee of Rs. 150/- through online mode through Net Banking / Credit card / Debit card.

Selection Procedure for Civil Judge:-
The selection process comprises three successive stages, viz., (a) Preliminary Examination for selection of applicants for admission to the Main Examination, (b) Main Examination; and (c) Viva-Voce Test. Only those candidates who will qualify for the Main Examination will be allowed to go to the interview and verification of the original documents.
Important Notes for the TNPSC:-
(i) Candidates should be adequate knowledge to read, write and speak in English and Tamil.
(ii) Applicants should appear for the written examinations/certificate verification / Viva Voce tests at their own expenses
(iii) If any dispute or question arises relating to the disqualification/suitability of the Candidates or interpretations of the Rules, the decision of the Hon’ble High Court of Madras shall be final.
(iv)The benefit of reservation is admissible only to bonafide domiciles/residents of the State of Tamil Nadu.
