Chandigarh Police Constable Bharti 2024 – Apply Online for 144 Vacancies

The Chandigarh Police has invited applications from eligible candidates for direct recruitment to the post of Constable Executive (IT). Aspirants can apply for the vacancies on the official website chandigarhpolice.gov.in till February 13 (upto 11.59 PM).

The Police Constable (IT Domain) Written exam is tentatively scheduled to be conducted March 3, 2024. The PMT will be scheduled around the last week of March. The recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 144 posts of Constable (Executive)(IT), under domain specialization “IT Support”, of Group “C” in the pay scale of Central Pay Level-3 (Rs.21,700 – 69,100/-) as per 7th CPC plus allowance.

Eligibility Criteria: Chandigarh Police Constable Executive (IT) Notification

To be eligible for the Chandigarh Police IT Constable vacancies, candidates willing for Chandigarh Govt Job must fulfil certain educational qualifications and age criteria. Here are the details:

Age limit: Candidates should be between the age of 18 to 25 years as on January 23, 2024 to qualify for the posts. Upper age limit relaxations applicable.

Educational Qualification: (i) Bachelors (3 years)/Masters (2 years) degree in the fields of Computer Science, or Computer Applications, or Data Sciences, or Electronics, or Instrumentation, or Communication, or Information Technology, or Mechatronics, or Computer Sciences and allied.
(ii) Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) (Section A and B) in Computer Science.
(iii) Possession of a valid driving license to drive both two-wheelers and four-wheel vehicles.
(iv) ICT course is mandatory at entry level as per instructions issued by Chandigarh Administration.

Application Fee: Chandigarh Police Constable (Executive) Job Opening 2024

The application fee for Unreserved/General/OBC category candidates is Rs 1000 while for SC and EWS categories it is Rs 800. Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempt from payment of fees.

Selection Criteria for Chandigarh Police IT Constable Bharti

The Chandigarh Police Constable Selection Process for the year 2024 is a big opportunity for individuals seeking a career in law enforcement. Selection process, includes the written examination, Physical Efficiency & Measurement Test (PE & MT), document verification, and medical examination.

Written Examination

Tier-I Examination: The written test for all candidates (including ex-servicemen) will be conducted using an OMR sheet/ CBT. This test will be worth 100 marks and will consist of multiple-choice objective questions. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark, while every wrong answer will result in a negative marking of 0.25 marks and shall include questions on: –

General Knowledge/ Current Affairs
Reasoning
Numerical Ability

Tier-II Examination: carrying 50 marks, shall test the proficiency of candidates in domain specialization i.e. “IT Support”. The questions shall be multiple choice objective type and will carry one mark for every correct answer and a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer.

The question paper for the test will be available in Hindi, English and Punjabi. During the application process, candidates can choose their preferred language, and they will receive the test paper only in the selected language. Please note that changing the medium of the test will not be allowed.

NCC Certificate Holders

NCC “C”: 5% of the maximum marks of the examination (150).
NCC “B”: 3% of the maximum marks of the examination (150).
NCC “A”: 2% of the maximum marks of the examination (150).

Height

Male candidates having height 183 cm or above
Female candidates have height 165 cm or above
For Hill Areas candidates: –
Male candidates having height 178 cm or above
Female candidates have height 160 cm or above

Physical Efficiency & Measurement Test (PE & MT)

The first step is to measure the height and chest of each candidate. Candidates who do not meet the specified height and chest criteria will be disqualified right away.
