Qualification (i) A candidate must be a graduate of Law of a recognized University or Institution recognized by the Government.
(ii) A Superintendent or a Ministerial Officer in the High Court or any Civil or Criminal Court sub-ordinate to the High Court, or an Assistant Law Officer or Translator of the Law Department of Government, shall also be eligible for appearing at the competitive examination under rule 15 for recruitment to the posts of Civil Judges (Junior Division) in Odisha Judicial Service if he/she is a graduate in Law of a University recognized by the State Government, has approved service in the High Court or in any Civil or Criminal Court sub-ordinate to the High Court or in the Law department of not less than seven years by the last date fixed for submission of online applications for the said competitive examination, has been recommended by the respective appointing authority; and is not more than 39 (thirty nine years) of age on the 1st day of the month of August, 2023. ‘Approved Service’ for this purpose means qualifying as defined in the New Restructured Defined Contribution Pension Scheme as provided in the Odisha Civil Service (Pension) Rules, 2005.
Pay Scale Rs.77,840 – 1,36,520/- with usual dearness and other allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time.

The following steps can be followed to apply for the Odisha Judicial Service Exam 2024 Notification:

Step 1: Candidates must go through the website of the OPSC at www.opsc.gov.in.
Step 2: Before filling out the online form, register first on the OPSC website.
Step 3: Next, fill out the application form by entering your details.
Step 4: Upload the documents on the application form.
Step 5: Submit your OPSC online form.

Odisha Judicial Service Exam 2024 Exam Pattern

Preliminary Written Examination:

The preliminary written examination will consist of one paper.
The preliminary examination carried a total of 100 marks.
The duration of the examination is one and half hours.
The written examination consists of objective-type questions of multiple choice.
There shall be negative marking for each incorrect answer. For each wrong answer, a 0.25 mark will be deducted.

Main Written Examination:

The main written examination shall consist of two compulsory papers and three optional papers.
Each of the compulsory subjects carries a total of 150 marks.
The duration of each of the compulsory subjects is two and half hours.
Each optional subject carries 150 marks with a duration of only three hours.

Notes:-

  • Canvassing in any form will disqualify a candidate.
  • Age relaxation will be given according to the Govt. rules.
  • Application forms have to be filled only online mode, No offline forms would be accepted.
  • Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria or are incomplete shall be summarily rejected.
