All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Andhra Pradesh has released the notification for the recruitment of Faculty Posts (Group-A) (Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts) on Direct Recruitment/ Deputation/ Retired Faculty on Contract basis. Eligible and interested candidates can apply before 02-07-2023 at (05:00 PM).

23 Medical Candidates:-
1. (a) A medical qualification included in the I or II schedules or part II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956.
(b) A higher degree, e.g. MD/MS or equivalent recognized qualification in relevant discipline/subject.
OR
M.Ch. of surgical Superspecialties and D.M. Medical Degree (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or equivalent qualification.
2. Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
OR
Twelve years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institute in the subject of speciality after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch./D.M. (2 years or 5 years course recognized after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
OR
Eleven years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality for the candidates possessing 3 years recognized Degree of D.M/M.Ch in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Non-medical Candidates: –
1. Postgraduate qualification e.g. Master degree in the discipline/allied subject.
2. A Doctorate degree from a recognized University.
3. Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the Doctorate degree.
Additional Professor
Rs.1,48,200 per month
10 Medical Candidates:-
1. (a) A medical qualification included in the I or II schedules or part II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956.
(b) A higher degree, e.g. MD/MS or equivalent recognized qualification in relevant discipline/subject.
OR
M.Ch. of surgical Superspecialties and D.M. Medical Degree (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or equivalent qualification.
2. Ten years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institute in the subject of speciality after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch./D.M. (2 years or 5 years course recognized after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Superspeciality disciplines:
1) A medical qualification included in the I or II schedules or part II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956.
2) D.M. in the respective discipline/subject for medical superspecialities and M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject for surgical superspecialities (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent. thereto.
3) Eight years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M./ M.Ch. (2 years or 5 years recognized course after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
OR
Seven years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of speciality for the candidates possessing 3 years recognized degree of D.M. / M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Non-medical Candidates:-

Associate Professor

12 Medical Candidates:-

(b) A higher degree, e.g. MD/MS or equivalent recognized qualification in relevant discipline/subject.
OR
M.Ch. of surgical Superspecialties and D.M. Medical Degree (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or equivalent qualification.
2. Six years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institute in the subject of speciality after obtaining the Degree of M.Ch./D.M. (2 years or 5 years course recognized after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Non-medical Candidates:-
1. Postgraduate qualification e.g. Master degree in the discipline/allied subject.
2. A Doctorate degree from a recognized University.
3. Six years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/ subject concerned after obtaining the Doctorate degree.
Biostatistics:-
i. A good Master’s Degree in Statistics / Biostatics.
ii. A Doctorate Degree from a recognized university.
iii. Six years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the Doctorate Degree.
Assistant Professor
Rs.1,01,500/- per month
07 Medical Candidates:-
1. (a) A medical qualification included in the I or II schedules or part II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956.
(b) A higher degree, e.g. MD/MS or equivalent recognized qualification in relevant discipline/subject.
OR

However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 3 years recognized degree of  D.M. / M.Ch. in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Non-medical Candidates:-
1. Postgraduate qualification e.g. Master degree in the discipline/allied subject.
2. A Doctorate degree from a recognized University.
3. Three years teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/ subject concerned after obtaining the Doctorate degree.

Application Fee and Mode of Payment:-

The candidate will be required to pay prescribed application fees, if any, through Online Mode.

Selection Procedure for Faculty Post:- 

Interview of the Candidates would be taken first which will be held at AIIMS Mangalagiri.

Important Notes:-

(i) The retired faculty consultant will report to the Director AIIMS, Mangalagiri.
(ii) No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
(iii) Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
(iv) All disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Court of Law at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
(v) The Candidate will have to work in shifts and can be posted at any place in the Institute.
