UPPSC RO/ARO exam cancelled over allegations of paper leak

Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission’s (UPPSC) RO/ARO exam was cancelled amid allegations of paper leak. The exam was held on February 11 and has been cancelled as aspirants demand for re-examination. Aspirants and some student organisations alleged that the question paper had been leaked before the exam started.

The examination on February 11 at 2,387 centres across 58 districts, had seen participation from 64% of the total 10,76,004 registered candidates, to fill up 411 vacancies.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took to social media to allege that there was a question paper leak in the exam. She wrote: “After waiting for many years, a law against paper leaks was passed in Parliament. On the other hand, the review officer exam paper was leaked in U.P!”

Candidates of Review Officer (RO)/Assistant Review Officer (ARO) Preliminary Examination-2023 conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) at the dharna site next to Pathar Girija Ghar of Civil Lines in Prayagraj district continued for long time and demanded a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the paper leak.

Aspirants claimed that the RO/ARO examination paper had been leaked the night before the exam and was available on certain WhatsApp groups.
