UPSC Recruitment 2023 – 78 Specialist Grade III Posts

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of Specialist Grade III in various departments. Eligible candidates can apply for the posts on the official website upsconline.nic.in till January 11, 2024.

The recruitment drive aims to fill up a total of 78 vacancies, of which 46 vacancies are for the post of Specialist Grade III (Anaesthesiology), 1 for Specialist Grade III (Biochemistry), 7 for Specialist Grade III (Forensic Medicine), 9 for Specialist Grade III (Microbiology), 7 for Specialist Grade III (Pathology), and 8 for Specialist Grade III (Plastic Surgery & Reconstructive Surgery).

UPSC Specialist Grade III Vacancy Details 2023

Post Name – Vacancies Qualification
Specialist Grade III
(Anaesthesiology) – 46
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty or super specialty mentioned in Section A or Section B in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. M.D.(Anaesthesiology)/ M.S.(Anaesthesiology)/ Diploma in Anaesthesiology (D.A.). (iii) Three years’ experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree or five years’ experience after obtaining the first Post Graduate diploma.
Specialist Grade III
(Biochemistry) – 01
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-Graduate Degree as mentioned in section A in Schedule VI i.e. M.D.(Bio-Chemistry)/ M.Sc.( Medical BioChemistry)/Ph.D.( Bio-Chemistry)/ D.Sc.( Bio-Chemistry). (iii) Three years experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree.
Specialist Grade III
(Forensic Medicine) – 07
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-Graduate Degree as mentioned in section A in Schedule VI i.e. M.D. (Forensic Medicine) (iii) Three years experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree.
Specialist Grade III
(Microbiology) – 09
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned specialty or super specialty mentioned in Section A or Section B in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. M.D.(Bacteriology)/ M.D.(Microbiology)/, MBBS with M.Sc.(Med. Bacteriology)/ M.Sc.( Med. Bacteriology)/ M.Sc.( Med. Microbiology)/ Ph.D.( Med. Bacteriology)/ M.Sc.( Med. Bacteriology) with D.Sc. ( Med. Bacteriology)/ M.Sc. ( Med. Microbiology) with Ph.D. ( Med. Microbiology)/ M.Sc. ( Med. Microbiology) with D.Sc. ( Med. Microbiology)/ D(Bact.)/ Diploma in Pathology & Bacteriology(DPB).
(iii) Three years’ experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree or five years’ experience after obtaining the first Post Graduate diploma.
Specialist Grade III
(Pathology) – 07
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Postgraduate degree/ Diploma in the concerned specialty or super specialty mentioned in Section A or Section B in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. M.D.(Pathology)/ Ph.D.( Pathology)/ D.Sc. (Pathology)/ Diploma in Clinical Pathology (DCP) /Diploma in Pathology & Bacteriology (DPB). (iii) Three years’ experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree or Five years’ experience after obtaining the first Post Graduate diploma.
Specialist Grade III
(Plastic Surgery & Reconstructive Surgery) – 08
(i) A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-Graduate Degree in the concerned specialty or super specialty mentioned in Section A in Schedule VI or equivalent i.e. M.Ch.(Plastic Surgery)/ M.Ch.(Plastic & Constructive Surgery. (iii) Three years experience in the concerned Specialty after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree.

Age Limit: Union Public Service Commission Specialist Grade III Job Opening 2023

Upper age limit is 50 years. Upper age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates.

Pay Scale: UPSC Specialist Vacancy 2023

Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA
